Try Outs

I am not the type of person who feels the border fabric has to actually be used somewhere in the quilt.  Quite often I do use one of the quilt fabrics for the border...but this time...nope.

So, we're having border fabric tryouts....


Here's an unbiased view.  Yeah....if you can't tell from this little snippet...it's the Swoon Quilt...oh glory day!! 

Okay, let's start the process...



1.  Yellow with golden rod dots...that's right, I said golden rod.


2.  Grey with turquoise dots


3.  Turquoise with Grey dots


4.  Grey with white dots

Okay, so if you would like to give me your opinion in the comments...I will take them under advisement.  I am leaning towards numbers 1 and 2.  Let me know what you think...

    I like the golden rod Heather! This is going to be one gorgeous quilt which ever one you choose! I love it!

    I liked number 2 the best, although all of them looked nice. What a pretty quilt!

      Thanks Sherry. I like that one because it doesnt compete at all with the quilt. Hard choice.

      Thanks Nat! I bought all these dot fabrics specifically for binding quilts...so since I've not used them yet I figured I had to try them all out....or most of them. I've got a couple that didn't fit in, so they were left out.

    I also like 1 & 2..it's hard to vote seeing so little of the quilt. Maybe a bigger view so I can assess all the colors and how they mesh together.
